

Born on February 10th, 1928, Nita was a lifelong resident of Dayton Ohio. She was the loving wife of William Hart for 47 years and the devoted mother of Jim, Tom and Joanne Hart. Nita was a homemaker and eventually made a career in retail, working many years in a variety of shops specializing in bathroom design, gifts, collectibles and stationery. She especially enjoyed the camaraderie she shared with the good friends she made while working at DeClark's Hallmark Shop. Nita was a member of Kappa Delta Phi, a sorority dedicated to active community service. She also spent a number of years working as a volunteer at Dayton Hospice. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, most especially her cherished grandchildren. She took great care in preparing Sunday meals for her family every single week. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter and warm memories that will remain with her family and friends for years to come.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Joseph Bova, her siblings Nicholas, Jerome, Joseph Bova Jr., Anna Mae Maurice (Milton) and her husband William W. Hart Jr. She is survived by her children James Hart (Alisa) , Thomas Hart, Joanne Hart, her grandchildren Andy Hart (Leah), Alex Hart (Gail), Dan Hart (Scarlette) Kelly Hart and one great grandchild, Ruby Weisenberger along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45429. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45409.
