

Jameson, Mary Pauline age 98 of Centerville, passed away Sunday February 25, 2018 at the Suites of Walnut Creek where she received professional and loving care. Mary was born April 30, 1919 in Vincennes, IN. She grew up in Detroit where she met her husband Ernest Jameson. Together they moved to Lima, OH where they raised their family and then retired in Centerville in 1981. Mary was a long time member of P.E.O. in both Lima and Dayton and sponsored women for educational scholarships. For more than twenty five years, she volunteered at Cox Arboretum introducing children to the beauty of nature. Mary was devoted to helping others, including preparing food for the needy, delivering books to shut-ins and visiting the elderly. Mary was active in church throughout her life. She and Ernie joined St. George’s Episcopal Church when they moved to Centerville. Mary was devoted to her family, always encouraging them to have COURAGE in the face of adversity. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ernest Jameson and her son Kenneth Jameson. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Ross (Tom) and Elizabeth Vannata (Charles Reinhardt) an son Michael Jameson (Minane) daughter-in-law Betsy Jameson Ingram (Steven), eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Sue Drouillard and very dear friend Dolores Bundoc. Visitation will be held Monday March 5, 2018 from 10 am until 12 noon at Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Church service to follow at 1 pm at St. George’s Episcopal Church 5520 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, Ohio. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
