Mary was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother/great-grandmother, aunt and homemaker. She loved ironing and in 1949 decided to make it her lifetime career. Ironing in her home provided her with the opportunity to name her own hours and to enjoy many pastimes; such as, entering (and winning) radio and TV contests, creating new recipes, shopping, playing bingo and Scrabble and, most of all, taking care of her beloved grandchildren, Katie and Eric. In 1999, at the age of 82, she was presented the "Golden Iron" award for 50 years of ironing.
Mary will be greatly missed for her loving kindness to all and her wonderfiul sense of humor. Her favorite "food" was chocolate (of any kind). It was only fitting that she chose her final resting place at Woodland Cemetery close to Esther Price Candies.
