Sandy, i never met your mom and from all the sweet comments I'm sorry we never made the acquaintance. I do know the hurt of losing your mom and I pray God gives you the strength to make it through this till you see her again. You have talked so much about your family I feel like I know them all, May God hold you in the palm of his hand and bestow his blessings on your family Love Jacque

We will miss Mary Lou and the Burban family wants to share our deepest condolences to the entire Metz family. I want to share the words I exchanged on Sunday morning, 9/8/2019 in the hospital with her. It was a Bible verse Mary Lou had joy hearing that moment.

"For God so loved the world ( Mary Lou Metz ) that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for all of our sins) , that whoever ( Mary Lou Metz) believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (in heaven)."

She said she loves Jesus and happy to know this promise from God.

Mrs Metz was one of my closest neighbors growing up. I loved visiting her and learning from her about farm life, cooking, and listening to her stories! I remember her as a strong, vibrant, joyful lady who was a great influence on me. She'll always be remembered in our hearts!

She had such a sweet nature, beautiful smile, and liked to laugh with us. I had such good times with you and your family. Pete and I send our warmest thoughts and continued prayers for the family. We know she is no longer in pain and rejoicing with the Lord now. What a better place to be! We are so thankful for Mary Lou's loving influence as an adopted grandma for our girls growing up across the street. She taught them about caring for chickens, how to prep a fish they caught in our pond, how to make noodles, and more! Thankful our girls could play music for her. She possessed a loving heart for others and was so genuine & sincere. So thankful for Mary Lou's impact on our lives. She was a treasure to all of us as my own mother lived out of state.
