Mary Ruth Stanaford

STANAFORD, Mary Ruth, age 88 of Centerville, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Stanaford Sr.; son, Carl E. Stanaford Jr.; parents, John W. and Ocie M. Huffman; granddaughter, April Stanaford; sisters, Betty Ward, Elenore Huffman, Anna Grace Scott, Mabel Turley, and brothers, Richard Huffman and Bob Huffman. She is survived by her son, Danny (Debbie) Stanaford; granddaughters, Allison Stanaford, Amy Stanaford, Lisa Moran, Heather Stanaford, Patricia Cordell; great-grandchildren, Tyson Venable, Devon Venable, Cassidy Cordell, Chase Cordell; sisters, Edna Penix, Helen White; brothers, Walter (JoAnn) Huffman, Bill (Delores) Huffman and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mary retired from DESC after 28 years. She was the most loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will always hold a special place in her grandchildren’s hearts as they did in hers’. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Wood Glen Alzheimer’s Community. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 12 pm until the time of services on Friday, June 14. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
