Mary Thomas, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died peacefully at her home on July 28, 2026. Born in Illinois into a large German family, she spent her childhood tousling with her closest-in-age older and younger brothers. She was tough and adventurous, and lived for several years in Argentina during her young adulthood.
Mary retired from a long career in civil service at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, and was a long-time active member of St. Helen Parish.
She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, and she valued her community, her country and her family.
She generously volunteered throughout her life, serving many years at the Schuster Performing Arts Center, the National Museum of the United States Air Force, and at the time of her passing, Soin Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, six siblings, and extended family. She is survived by three siblings, her daughter, four grandchildren, and twelve great‑grandchildren.
Visitation open from 11-3pm with Memorial Service at 12pm at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432, on August 1, 2026
