POE, Merrill E. “Gene”, MSGT, USAF Ret., age 71 of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Merrill and Stella Poe, and sisters Shirley Gibbs, Carolyn Sue Poe and Marilyn Lou Poe. He is survived by his wife Josie Poe, sons John (Alysha Cheney) Poe, David (Julia) Poe and William Medina, daughter Gina Poe, grandchildren Katie Poe, William Medina, Mariah N. Medina, Mariah C. Medina and sister Alberta Wiggin. Merrill retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was an avid fisherman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Dayton National Cemetery.
