Sympathy to all the family. We didn't know Mike well but he must have been a terrific person after reading his obit. Unfortunately we cannot attend the viewing or funeral as we are both sick at this time. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Flynn family,
My deepest condolences to your family in the recent loss.
Mike and I worked together at Krogers on Smithville Road in the 70's for several years. The store had just been built. We were young, all somewhat new, a couple years of seniority among us, close in age but definitely a cast of characters. We worked nights stocking shelves and processing 4 truck deliveries a week. Grunt work. We all wanted to make more money by getting promoted. Mike was always competitive, worked very hard, with a lot of pride in his work. He went to on be promoted and was an excellent boss to work for, professional and knew his job. It was hard to match Mike's work ethic. Mike went on with Krogers for 38 years. I have a lot of respect for that commitment. In the early days, we all thought we would be at Krogers 35-40 years.
Mike's passing brought back a lot of memories of our time working together at Krogers with the other cast of characters. We talked about our futures, played pool (heck of a pool player) or drinking a cold one. Thank you Mike for your friendship.
Rest in Peace.

To the Flynn family,
My deepest condolences for whom I liked to call "Big Mike Flynn".
Had to go up against that man many a time @ football practice @ Chaminade. Don't remember ever being able to get through or around him. Where he was tough as nails on the field, he was a great guy off. Moved from Dayton years ago, but was always back @ the holidays to see family, & meet up w/ friends @ Kramer's where I would inevitably run into Mike. He was always genuinely glad to see me, & me him. He was a good man with a large kind heart.
