

Mike was married to his loving and devoted wife, Jackie Vickroy (Smith), on November 19th, 1966. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their daughters, Mary Beth Noll (husband David Noll) and Amy Coleman (widow of the late John W Coleman Jr.). Mike was a proud grandfather to Nathaniel, Zachary, and Madelyn Noll; Wesly and Langston Coleman, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Also survived by Eugene Monnier Jr. (brother), wife Yvonne; Jeanie Vickroy (sister-in-law); and Roger Smith (brother-in-law), wife Brenda. Also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will hold their memories close.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mike served his country with honor and dignity. He was an active member of American Legion Post 598, where he forged lasting friendships and fostered community spirit among his fellow veterans.
Mike enjoyed a successful career as a well-respected salesman in technology at Ideacom. Known for his integrity and exceptional work ethic, he was admired by colleagues and clients alike. His ability to connect with people left a lasting impact.
A true family man, Mike had a passion for sports, particularly the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State Football teams. He enjoyed watching his teams with his family and friends, creating countless cherished memories.
Michael "Mike" Vickroy is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rose Monnier (Donise) and Eugene Monnier Sr, and father, Byron D. Vickroy. He also mourned the loss of his brother, B. David Vickroy and sister-in-law, Jean E Monnier as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mike's kindness, humor, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed. He was a pillar of strength for his family and an inspiration to all who crossed his path.
A memorial visitation for Michael will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45429, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Following the memorial service at the funeral home a celebration of Mike's life will be held on September 20th at Kettering American Legion Post 598 located at 5700 Kentshire Dr., Kettering, OH 45440
