Michelle "Shelley" Denise Walbe, age 66, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Shelley was born on July 28, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, to Joseph and Stella (Kleck) Walbe. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Stella, and brother, Kevin, and is survived by her sister Doris Williams, brother Darrell Walbe, dear friend Karla Vandivier, and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Shelley joined the Army in 1973 after graduating High School. She served as a surgical scrub tech until her honorable discharge in 1976.
She continued her medical career at the Dayton V.A. as an anesthesia technician. Later, she was employed by Miami Valley Hospital, as Chief Anesthesia Technician. In 1997 she passed the national certification exam of the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists (ASATT). Shelley finished her career in February 2021 as a GI Technician at Dayton Gastroenterology.
Throughout her career, she always thought of others before herself. She donated her vacation time anonymously to those who needed extra time off for chemo or surgery.
Shelley loved all animals and they loved her. Her cats, Chase and Franky miss her so much.
When she entered any room, people smiled and were genuinely happy to see her. This world is a better place because of people like her.
You will be surely missed by all who knew you.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or SICSA. A gathering of friends for Shelley will be held on Monday January 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio.
