

Kirk, Mildred age 90 of Washington Township passed away on December 30, 2014 at Kettering Hospital. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Maude Lester, husband Cressel Kirk, siblings Sammy Lester, Charlie Lester, GB Lester, Ruth Boyd and Mary Mayes, special friend, Erma Conner. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Reed) Quigley Hawkins, son Gary (Anne-Marie) Kirk all of West Carrollton, Ohio. A sister, Virginia Jennings of Georgia; Grandchildren, Jim Hawkins , Scott Hawkins, Elizabeth (BJ) Benedetto, Tanner Kirk, Olivia Kirk and Rowan Kirk; Great grandchildren, Jamie Hawkins and Logan Benedetto and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was born in Morristown, TN on December 10, 1924. She moved to Dayton, Ohio at the age of 18. Mildred worked for Wright Field making airplane engines. Her next job was at Inland where she made rifles for WWII. She retired from GM Frigidaire division. She enjoyed bowling for many years and won several trophies. She was an avid gardener with beautiful flower beds. She also grew and canned her own vegetables. Mildred enjoyed getting together and spending time with her family. Funeral Service 12 noon Tuesday January 6, 2015 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Pastor Bryan W. Heil officiating. Interment in David’s Cemetery.
