SCOTT, Mildred Frances, age 94 of Huber Heights, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. She was born in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Joseph Sylvester and Lula Barker Torre. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Edward Scott, sister Susan Smith and brother in-laws Ed Smith and Bruce Brooks. She is survived by her children Frances Kramer, Arthur (June) Scott and Carolyn (Arthur Watson) Scott., 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way, sister Joan Brooks and nieces Dwanna and Melody. Mildred was an LPN for over 50 years. She had worked in the nursery ward at St. Elizabeth and at Dayton Mental Health. She was a hard worker and never turned anyone down for overtime. She once told her workplace that they had paid her too much, but they had to explain that she worked a lot of overtime. Mildred had an incredible memory for dates and numbers. She remembered everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, phone numbers and other special dates. She was an honest, selfless, loving and caring person. She loved her husband Glenn and her family. They were the most important people in the world to her. To Glenn she was his “Babe”. Mildred took care of Glenn for a number years until he passed on November 23, 2018. Mildred loved to travel. On road trips she preferred to look out the window at all the sights rather than sleep. She recently went to Florida to see her sister and her family put up a canopy on the beach for her to sit under. She smiled the whole time enjoying the beach and the ocean. Her last trip was out to Flagstaff, Arizona where she got to meet her new great-great-grandson Kai before she passed unexpectedly. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Spaulding Road Church of God, 1658 Spaulding Rd. with Pastor Larry Thomas and Pastor Daniel Kroger officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 2 pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 am until the time of services. www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
