

Mildred F. Voisard passed away at Bethany Lutheran Village on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter, her son Richard, her mother Grace Embry Singleton Gojack, her father Rufus Franklin Singleton and her brothers Ross and Len.
Midge was married to Wally, her wonderful husband of 71 years. She was the beloved mother of Steve (MeeLing), Terri (Joe Gschwender), and Sue (Steve Donegia). She was the adored grandmother/nana of Philip (Atlanta), Lelan (Marya), Nathan (Kate), Stephanie, Megan, Nicole (Anthony Pratt), Walter II (Tiffany), Haley and Brice. Midge was the great-grandmother of Noah, Dani, Basia (Steve Billman), Kieran, Remy, Judah, Pixie, Zoe, Apollo, Max, Zippy, Azalea, Jake and Elliyah. She was the loved Aunt and Great- Aunt to many including David, Vicky, Pam, Jerry, Cindy, Jill, Kim Singleton and Lynn, Brian, Jim, Alexis, Patrick Voisard.
Midge was born on November 10, 1928 in Central City, Kentucky, where she lived through her childhood prior to moving to Dayton, Ohio. She is an alumnus of Patterson Cooperative High School in Dayton, Class of 1947. Midge was very proud of the fact that she was the first person in her family to graduate from high school. Toward the end of high school, she met the love of her life, Walter, who had been recently honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps and was a student of the University of Cincinnati. Midge proudly supported him through the remainder of his college years and during his career in the aviation industry.
Midge loved socializing with family and friends. She was a grand organizer and carefully planned all family events and vacations. She made every holiday and birthday special and lovingly selected special gifts for her family. Midge spent countless hours and weekends on the water with her family on their many boats throughout the years. She cooked delicious family dinners on the Coleman stove and was each family member’s greatest cheerleader when they learned to water ski. The family all loved playing many different games including euchre, Tripoly and dangerous rounds of Spoons and Pit. Time spent with Wally during later years including traveling both domestically and internationally, cruising, playing bridge with friends, dancing (she and Wally could draw quite a crowd when they jitterbugged), square dancing and snow birding in Sarasota. Midge was an active member of Peace Lutheran Churches in both Beavercreek and Sarasota for over 60 years where she served in many volunteer and ministry roles. Midge loved music, movies, musical theater and reading. She adored her grandchildren and made time for each one through sleepovers, special outings, making cookies and crafts together or attending their games, recitals and special events.

You were a warm, courageous, kind and generous woman who loved her family always. You taught us love, compassion, forgiveness, devotion and to always put family first. Your sense of humor, loveable nature, and devotion taught us to bring balance to our lives. We are so grateful that you were ours for 93 years and we will miss you dearly.
