Millie Oneta Mesch

Millie was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, service, adventure and an unforgettable sense of humor and spunk. She was a wonderful mother of nine and was deeply loved by her family and the many people whose lives she touched. She is survived by her son Steve King, Daughter Debbie Loftis, daughter in law Fawn King, granddaughter Billie Jo Zavacky, grandson in law Derrick Zavacky, great grandsons Micah Zavacky, Nicholas Zavacky, and Joseph Zavacky, great granddaughters Alexis Marie Honshul and Jaelin Honshul.

Millie was married to Ed Mesch, the love of her life. Their love was an important part of her story, and the memories they created together remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Millie spent much of her life caring for others. She helped feed the hungry through the church she attended, East Dayton Christian Church, and gave generously of her time and heart to those in need. She also worked with elementary school children where she had a special gift for seeing beyond the surface and recognizing the individual needs of the children she worked with. She took time to notice them, listen to them and help them and she made a meaningful difference in their lives.

Millie also had a wonderfully adventurous spirit. During the summers, she and her friends would set out on adventures without even knowing where they were going. They would meet up, point in a direction and simply head in that direction and find adventures. Those spontaneous adventures became cherished memories filled with laughter, friendship and the joy of living life to the fullest.

In her later years Millie became a grandmother figure not only to those in her own family, but to the many people both in and outside of her family. She had a way of making people feel loved and welcomed. Her door and heart were open to so many.

Millie was filled with spunk, humor, kindness and an incredible capacity for love. Above all she had an important part of who she was.

Her life was a gift to so many, and although she will be deeply missed, her love, laughter, lessons, faith and memories will continue to live on in all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Rest peacefully Millie. Your earthly journey is complete and the Lord has taken you home, but the love you gave and the lives you touched will never be forgotten.

Visitation for Millie will be Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, followed by funeral service at 12:00pm and interment at Calvary Cemetery.
