Nancy Reid Calaway (Cook), 75, passed away May 5th at Sycamore Hospital. Nancy was born on Feb. 27th, 1941 in Ellwood, IN to Robert and Ruth Anne Cook (Rozelle). After spending time in Indiana, Washington DC, and Colorado she settled in Oakwood, Ohio. She graduated from Oakwood High School in 1959. In 1962 she married Richard Calaway in Kettering, Ohio. That marriage produced three sons and locations from Florida to Michigan and Texas.
She is survived by her three children, Mark (Kimberly), Scott, and Todd (Christin) Calaway. Nancy had two sisters, Linda and Cindy, as well as a younger brother Bobby and his wife Katie. Her grandchildren include Lanier, Mackenzie, Anton, Emerson, Griffin, Andrew and Nathan Calaway. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Calaway (Nov 2011), her sister Cindy (Mar 2015) and her grandson Andrew (Jan 2012).
At every stop Nancy would embed herself in the community. She was kind and thoughtful, caring for all with equal love. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, usually playing cards.
