Nancy J. (Sano) Casey, age 61 of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on September 12, 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends. Nancy succumbed to a painful, year-long, brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She is preceded in death by her sister Catherine S. Sano, her father Robert J. Sano, her beautiful daughters Courtney Castor Halye and Kelly Casey, sons-in-law Jacob Castor and Brian Halye. Also her uncles Jack and Terry Kenney, Ron Sano, and cousin Dana Schuh. Nancy is survived by her mother Ann C. Hogberg (step-father John E. Hogberg), her so loved grandchildren Coby and Carly Castor, step-mother Soni Sano, Uncle Rick Sano and Aunt Mary Ann Shirmer, her Kenney cousins Jack, Jim, Jean, Joe, Mike, Doug, and friend and cousin Jerry, her Sano cousins Michelle, Emily, and Kelsey, her Hogberg and Castor families, and her very special friends Tricia, Amy and Julie.
Nancy graduated from Bellbrook High School, received her associates degree from Sinclair College (computer design). She held a number of jobs in graphic design and also worked as an STNA.
A Visitation for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:30 AM until the time of service at Noon at the Tobias Far Hills location, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45429.
Nancy will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
The family thanks the nurses of Ohio's Hospice for their excellent care of Nancy.
