Dear Ron,
I'm so sorry to find that Nancy isn't around among us anymore.  Such a wonderful woman and sister in Christ. How sad for you

But I am still glad to remember you as my leader in my early Christian life. Now I am recently retired after 28 years as a Lutheran minister.
I have been thinking about you once in a while and had some email correspondence with Nancy some years ago.

No I connect with you because I got an invitation to Bill Iverson's 90th birthday in Newark, February 17th. Did you receive it?
I will try to go there. It would be wonderful to gather the Cross Counter people from the spring of 1971 for a reunion in connection with Bill's birthday.
But I don't have emails to any of them. Do you?

My dear Ron and family. I am so very sorry and saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. I have thought of you all so very often and hoped you were well and happy. God's Peace to you and your family. Contact me if you can.

For over twenty years, Nancy was at the center of our small writing group. Though Im sure she never intended to be thought of as our leader, her incredible skill, patient wisdom, gentle encouragement, and generous spirit were undeniable. I will always remember her joyful laugh weaving its way through our conversations at both meetings and retreats. Nancy was magnificent, and we will all miss her terribly.

I was shocked to hear of Nancys passing.  I knew her through the tennis group in Fl.  She was a wonderful person and I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.  Our best to her family.

Nancy was a wonderful friend, always ready with an encouraging word and a hug. Over our 18 years of friendship, Nancy was a source of reflective and intelligent conversation, great book recommendations, writing insights, and loving talk about family and life. We shared in common what it meant to be former pastor's wives, I N F J's, writers, and so much more. Her passing leaves a gaping hole in the lives of so many hearts.

Nancy was a friend and mentor. She gave so generously of her time and talent to aspiring writers. I will never forget her many gentle lessons and wisdom.

Nancy had a beautiful heart - I was fortunate to attend workshops with her at Queens University. Sending love to her family.

Our friendship with Ron and Nancy began some 19 years ago when we hosted an exchange student from Sweden and they agreed to be his AFS Uncle and Aunt. Our friendship grew and continued. We will truly miss Nancy and the wonderful conversations we shared. The memory of her curious mind, love of family and friends, laughter and beauty will become the legacy she leaves for all who knew her.

I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy when I was a grad student at Antioch. She served as an advisor for my one of my fiction writing courses. We used to meet at a coffee shop downtown about once a week for many months. Nancy was also so kind and patient with me and she taught me so much about writing. I was lucky to have met her and I was lucky to have her guidance as I began my writing journey in life. My thoughts and prayers are with the Pinard family.

My wife and I have been friends with Ron and Nancy for years and we have many happy memories of the times we've spent with them at their home or ours, playing cards at the Lake, or just going out. So many fun happy memories. Nancy was caring, loving and compassionate, she was also serious and straight forward, she was witty, charming and fun. As a writer, a teacher, a friend you could find no better. We will miss her smile, we will miss her laughter, we will miss her presence. Love Mike and Beth
