

Nancy Sawchak loving wife, adored mother, cherished sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and teacher. Memories of Nancy will forever remain with those who benefited from knowing her over the 93 years in which the world was blessed by her existence. Her humor, laughter, and pure humanity are most cherished. All will remember her ever-present smile and her perseverance through many physical afflictions without ever complaining. Nancy was born in Grafton, Illinois, attended High School in St. Louis, and in Shaker Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Miami University in 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Frank Morrison, her loving husband of 62 years, Walter Sawchak, her brother Frank and her beloved brother, Dick. Her extensive family tree includes 4 children, Karen (Richard Hutter) Berrier, David (friend Diana) Sawchak , Barbara (Tony) Savino, Mark (Ann) Sawchak; 10 grandchildren, Michael (Stacey) and Carrie Rake, Jason (Kiley) Sawchak, Adam (Libby), Aaron (Kelly), Michael (Sasha), AJ (Kristie) Savino, Lia (David) Andrix, Kristin (Chris) Brown, Kevin (Janita) Sawchak, and 18 great grandchildren Ella, Audrey, and Katherine Rake, Pressley and Beckham Sawchak, Evelyn, Jack, Abigail, Michael, Charles, Margaret, and Douglas Savino, Laila and Delilah Andrix, Morgan, Liam, and Taylor Brown, Gabriel Sawchak. Her legacy also includes countless friends, cherished neighbors and the hundreds of former students who were impacted by her passion and love of teaching. She was always ready to go - whether it be a short outing or road trip. She enjoyed life and especially those moments with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Though she lived a long life, it will never seem long enough. She will be forever missed. Visitation is scheduled at St. Leonards Church, 8100 Clyo Rd, Centerville, on November 3, 2018, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with a memorial Mass to follow at 11:30 am.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the support and kindness of Area Agency of the Aging, Firstlight Home Care, and Ohio Hospice of Dayton. Because of your loving support and care, Nancy was able to stay in her home and enjoy her neighbors and friends until the end of her life.
