Neil Huntington Sizer, 86, of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. Born on August 14, 1939, Neil was a lifelong resident of West Carrollton and a man deeply rooted in faith, family, and community.
On February 23, 1963, Neil married the love of his life, Shirley Sizer. Together they built a beautiful life and family that became the center of everything he did. Neil was the proud father of Kelley (Mike), Timothy (Vicki), and Michael (Amy), and a devoted grandfather to Zachary (Samm), Ryan (Meredith), Makenzie (Joe), Marcella, Emma, Blaise, and Sami Rose. His heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Austin, J.J., and Luna, each of whom brought him immense joy.
Neil retired from AT&T (NCR) after many years of dedicated service and proudly served in the Marine Reserves. But his greatest legacy was not found in his career — it was found in the love he poured into his family. Neil and Shirley showed up for everything. Every game, every recital, every milestone. After each grandchild’s game, Papa, Papoo, or Paw could always be found giving a personalized coaching session — full of encouragement, wisdom, and love.
Neil’s faith was a guiding force in his life. He raised his family in the church, and the peace of knowing he is now in heaven brings comfort to those he leaves behind.
Neil found joy in golfing with his buddies, spending time at the Ranch, ClubWick, and Mission Hills, and in gaining the Parks side of the family, where he was blessed with three additional brothers and their “outlaw” wives. He loved the outdoors — nature, birds, bugs, and animals — and that deep appreciation for the natural world was passed down through every generation.
Some of Neil’s most treasured moments were the simple ones: Cella and Sami Fridays, summer “grandkid weeks,” countless weekends filled with laughter, and the cherished annual family trip to Dale Hollow Lake at Sassafras Point. Surrounded by his entire family, Neil rarely stopped smiling — those weeks were a gift he and Shirley gave to everyone, and the memories will be held close forever.
Neil was preceded in death by his mother, Olive Lindsay; his stepfather, Mark Lindsay; his father, Tom Sizer; and his aunt, Lucy Anne Sizer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley, his children and grandchildren, and his brother, Gary Sizer (Karen) and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 18, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Crossroads Hospice, St Jude's or the Wounded Warrior Fund
Neil’s life was one of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the family he treasured above all else. 🤍
