

ROSE-KAY, Nina Ellen Age 76, of Bellbrook, passed away on November 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Nina was born on February 14, 1938 in Dayton OH to Curt and Nellie Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Toni Rose, sister Carol Turner, and nephew Mike Turner. Nina is survived by her husband of twenty six years Dennis Kay. She is also survived by daughter Kathi Mee Herick (Dave) and their children Kait and Ellen, son Jeff Mee (Marie) and their children Matt and Emma, step son Jon Kay, niece Michelle Turner (Steve Rievers), nephew Pat Turner, and dear friend Gary Halsey. She was a graduate of Julienne High School and Sinclair Community College. She had a successful career in Medical Records and Quality Assurance at several area hospitals and retired from Kettering Medical Center. Her passion for art, photography, nature, and writing took her on many adventures across the US, most notably to her beloved Nantucket. Nina was an avid reader who befriended published authors and bestowed her love of literature to her family. After retirement she used these passions to write for the Dayton Daily News and various travel magazines. She was an accomplished painter and photographer. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Nina never knew a stranger and will be remembered best by all she welcomed as her own family. Visitation will be Sunday Nov 30th, from 2:00 - 4:00 at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills (Far Hills at Rahn Rd.). Graveside services will be Monday, Dec 1st 11:00 at Calvary Cemetery.
