Age 91 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away in Duluth, GA on June 20, 2014 after a brief illness. Norma was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois where she also met and married her husband of 57 years, Simon (d 2000). Following WWII, they settled in Dayton, Ohio where they raised their four children. Their retirement years were spent traveling the country, golfing, fishing, enjoying their friends’ and each other's company, and visiting their children and grandchildren. For the past 9 years she lived in Lawrenceville, GA with her daughter Janet, whom she beat at scrabble on a regular basis. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Simon, her parents, siblings Clarence, Raymond, and Lucille, and great-grandson Rowen.
She leaves behind her loving children - sons Peter and Eric Bartczak (and wife Pamela), and daughters Nancy Gorman and Janet Bartczak; six grandchildren - Jennifer, Adam and Clayton Bartczak, and Joseph, Jonathan, and Elizabeth Gorman; and five great-grandchildren - Kaden and Carter Marcus, and Greta, Clyde, and Miles Bartczak.
She and her husband were founding members of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1315 E. Alex-Bell Road, Centerville, OH 45459. where services will be held Friday June 27th at 11am.
