

Pamela Jane Gibbons, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 85. Born on July 15, 1940, in Middletown, Ohio, Pam was the cherished daughter of John F. and Rosemary K. (Scherer) Gibbons.
A proud graduate of Notre Dame High School in Portsmouth, Ohio, Pam devoted more than thirty years of her life to serving others with grace and dedication. As an accountant with the Montgomery County Department of Human Services, she brought not only professionalism but also compassion to every interaction, quietly making a difference in the lives of countless individuals. Later, at Kettering Fairmont High School, Pam found joy in connecting with students in the cafeteria, offering them kindness and a warm smile that brightened their days. Her gentle spirit, unwavering commitment, and genuine care left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Pam’s life was filled with simple joys and deep connections. She found happiness in bowling, attending Mass, and spending time with the people she loved most. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her love for animals—especially her cherished companions Cody and Ebby—was a reflection of her gentle spirit. Pam’s radiant smile and infectious laugh could light up any room, and her kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Patti Ann (Kenneth) Dixon, Debra Joan (Jerry) Beck, and Candace Kay Gibbons; her nephews Christopher (James) Beck, Jay Beck, Brent (Diane) Beck, and Brock Dixon; and her great-nephews Jordan, Aiden, and Colin Beck. She was preceded in death by her parents, whose memory she carried with grace and devotion.Calling Hours at Tobias Funeral Home, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH will be on Sunday, November 23, from 2 to 6 PM. Prayers at the Funeral Home are scheduled for Monday, November 24, at 11 AM followed Pam’s Mass of Christian Burial at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor—continuing her legacy of compassion and care.
Pam will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the lives she touched.
