Pat was born on April 11, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Barbara (Muschong) Grieshaber. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and the love of her life, Bernard George "Bernie" Volmer, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, and by her sister, Janet Durham.
Pat's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the kind of grandmother who made every grandchild feel like they were her favorite. Her love knew no limits, and the memories she created with her family will be treasured for generations.
She leaves behind her children, Vicki (Tom) Rentz, Julie (Mike) Lakin, Janet (Tom) Bradley, and Tony (Amy) Volmer; her seven cherished grandchildren, Molly, Anthony, and Caroline Rentz, Taylor Volmer and Maria Bradley, and Lily and Trey Volmer; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hudson, who brought endless smiles to her face. She is also survived by her niece and nephews, Michael, John, and Wendy Durham and their spouses, along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and the many dogs she loved and spoiled throughout her life.
Pat graduated from Regina High School in Cincinnati and later attended cosmetology school. Although she wore many hats throughout her life, her favorite role was caring for the people she loved.
A proud Cincinnati native, Pat carried her hometown in her heart wherever she went. She never stopped cheering for the Cincinnati Reds, loved Skyline chili, looked forward to every piece of chocolate she could enjoy, and found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Her home was always made warmer by the presence of family, friends, and a faithful dog at her feet.
Those who knew Pat will remember her gentle heart, her unwavering devotion to Bernie, her kindness, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She taught her family that love is shown in everyday moments—in laughter around the table, warm hugs, encouraging words, and simply being there for one another. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished above all else.
