Born in Dayton to Buell Jr. and Phyllis Mae Jenkins, Patsy was also preceded in death by her brothers Greg and Doug. She is survived by her children: Jason Marlow, Jennifer (Rob) Alexander, and James Marlow; her eight grandchildren: Jordan Marlow, Kyle Berry, Tristian Marlow, Adriana Marlow, Christian Alexander, Lily Alexander, Savannah Alexander, and Jayden Marlow; her beloved nieces and nephews: Stephen (Denise) Jenkins, Michael (Kristen) Jenkins, Matthew (Beth) Jenkins, Leslie (Patrick) Jenkins‑Sarcinella, and Lindsey Jenkins; and many cousins.
Although she spent most of her life in the Dayton, Ohio area, Patsy kept the spirit of her eastern Kentucky roots. She served sixteen years in the United States Air Force, with assignments in North Dakota, Spain, and Maryland, making lifelong friends along the way. Afterward she built a second career delivering mail for the United States Postal Service. In retirement she devoted more than twenty years to the Miami Valley Hospital gift shop, greeting every visitor with her trademark smile.
Patsy’s laugh was contagious, and her loyalty ran deep. She loved to travel, catch up with distant relatives, and stay active with her Wilbur Wright High School classmates. Her greatest joy was cheering on her grandchildren at every game, recital, and celebration. She had an “old soul.” An ice‑cold Coca‑Cola, a rerun of I Love Lucy, and time with family were her simple pleasures.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at the same location, with interment in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Patsy to ALS United Ohio.
