

MacDONALD, Paul Barry, “Mac” was born June 24, 1931 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. ALS took his voice and his legs and finally his life on March 3, 2016. Barry was a Navy Veteran being part of an award winning Drill Team and serving aboard the USS Ernest G Small during the Korean War. He worked at IBM for 30 years in the Customer Service Division and upon retirement he got his ideal job at Jamaica Run Golf Course working in the Pro Shop. Barry was a talker. He and Daniel Eckle would solve the world’s problems out in the front yard and on the golf course his golf buddies would tell all kinds of tales. He loved all sports and played most of them; golf, softball, tennis, racquetball, bowling and he also had success with his little league teams. Barry was preceded in death by his parents Violet and Chester MacDonald and his two brothers; James and Robin Pleak. He leaves to mourn him and remember his many words of wisdom his wife of 60 years Rita and his son Michael (Lori), and his grandchildren Emily, Brian and Rachel. Family to receive friends from 12:30PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 until time of memorial service at 2:00PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel.
