Paul Koerner

KOERNER, Paul Richard, aka “The Count”, age 51 of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond John Koerner and step-father Vernon Richard Berger. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Clare Berger, siblings Cynthia (Thomas) Fortener, Deborah Stoner, Gregory (Shirley) Koerner, Anita Koerner, Stephen Koerner, Nancy Vallerie, Janet Koerner and Pamela (Michael) Friedline, 15 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, and best friend Jeffrey Scott. Paul had been a DJ in the Dayton area since 1987 and had started working at WING-FM in 1997. He was a founder and current owner of the internet radio station iROCK 109 Classic Rock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St Helen Catholic Church, 5080 Burkhardt Rd., Riverside, OH 45431. Fr. Dave Brinkmoeller celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 10am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
