

Peggy Ann Dalton Kihn, born to Jesse William “Shorty” Dalton and Ruby Jewel Dalton on May 3, 1938, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She met and married the love of her life, John “Jack” Christian Kihn on August 16, 1957, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Together they raised their 3 boys; John Christian “Chris” Kihn Jr. (Jena), Brian Michael “Mike” Kihn (Tammy), and William Randall “Randy” Kihn (Carrie). Jack and Peggy moved their family to Kettering, Ohio, in 1970. They were long time members of the Far Hills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Kettering. Peggy served as Financial Secretary at Far Hills Baptist for several years until she became Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Finance at Kettering Medical Center for 25 years. Jack and Peggy also served many years with The Gideons International. Peggy became a Christian at an early age. She loved the Lord and served Him in many capacities. For many years, she served as Preschool Children’s Extended Care Director because of her love for children. She also sang in the church choir for many years in several churches. In her spare time, she loved to crochet and gifted many family members and others with her creations. Peggy was a devoted mother and grandmother to: Andrew Kihn (Jamie), Mollie Lightle (Derek), Taylor Kihn (Terra), Brandon Drake (Kristal), Matthew Drake (Lindsey), Bethany Roush (Thomas), Justin Kihn (Kristen), Noah Kihn (Kristen), Justice Kihn, Maria Kihn; in addition to 24 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429, US, on June 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E Lytle 5 Points Rd, Centerville, OH 45458, following the funeral service.
