Rachel Van Winkle, age 36 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Van Winkle in 2010. She is survived by her mother, Becky Short (Dave) and daughter, Delaney Rebecca Godek. Two brothers also survive her: Alexander Short of Beavercreek and Matthew Van Winkle of Kettering. She is also survived by an uncle, Mike Van Winkle, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rachel will be sorely missed and leave a hole in many a heart. Her love will be seen and felt every day through her precious daughter, Delaney. May she rest in peace with God forever. Calling hours will be held at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Monday, June 9 from 11 AM-12:30 PM. The funeral will be held Monday at 12:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
