Raymond Wesley Cordell, Sr.

CORDELL, Raymond Wesley, Sr., age 56 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at his residence. Ray was born on April 26, 1959 in Dayton to parents Ronald and Joyce Cordell. He is also preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Cordell and Brother, Ronald Cordell Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Bashaw- Cordell; sons, Ray Cordell Jr. and Rick Cordell; 3 grandchildren, Cameron, Benjamin and Charles; father, Ronald Cordell; siblings, Debbie (Mark) Newburn, Dan (Dee) Cordell, Michael Cordell and Jennifer Weaver. Ray served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a rank of Sergeant. He also took great pride in his role as Project Manager for several national cemeteries across the country. Ray’s amazing spirit touched so many lives. Ray knew no strangers and anyone who knew him loved him. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2015.
