

SPARKS, Raymond L., age 83 of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Alice Eleanora Sparks and by his daughter, on December 30, 2012, Cynthia Rae Sparks. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Sparks; sisters, Mary Ann (Daniel) Leaf of CA. Patricia Alice (Jim) Foster of Newark, OH; Barabra Jean Nickell of Huber Heights, OH; several nieces, nephews, and long time friends, Joe and Dottie Schmitt and Bob Sharp. Raymond graduated from Kiser High School, served in the United States Navy, was a Master Plumber, and owner of Borden Plumbing in Xenia, OH and went on to become a plumbing inspector for Clark County. He retired from the Clark County Combined Health District in 2013. Raymond was the past president of the Dayton Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors, Board member and Life member of the OHIO Plumbing Inspectors Association, a certified Ohio Backflow instructor, and a member of the National Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors. Prayer services will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield, Beavercreek, OH. Fr. Terry Schneider celebrant. Interment will follow in Dayton Memorial Park.
