Regan "Randy" Shields

Shields, Regan “Randy", age 83 of Kettering passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2016 with his beloved wife and loving daughters beside him. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Thelma and George Shields and raised in Ferndale, Michigan. He attended Wittenberg University on a football scholarship and graduated in 1951. Randy was an all-around great athlete who partook in many sports. He was passionate about music and loved talking about politics. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his mother and father in law Helen and James Boyles. Randy is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Barbara; daughters and sons in law Debbie and Buck O’Neil of North Carolina and Kim and Jim Macy of Florida; special friend Susan Harris who was like a daughter to him; grandchildren: Angie Macy-Lemanski and husband Mike, Charissa Deyo and husband Stephen, Nicole Caswell and partner Todd Aubuchon, and Ashley Ward and husband Nathan; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Brennan, Jacob, Lily-Kate, Harrison, Payton, Hagan, and Mila; fur-kids Ringo and Max; and a son, Randy Shields.
