Regina L. Kempton

KEMPTON, Regina L. age 87 of Kettering (former long-time resident of Beavercreek) passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. She was born in Trimble, Ohio on October 26, 1926 to the late Vaughn and Helen Earich. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wilbur in 1997 and her grandson Brian Stewart in 2006. Regina is survived by her children David (Tom Wesseler) Kempton, Claudia (Fred) Lewis, and Joel (Connie) Kempton; grandchildren Mark (Sarah) Walker, Erin (Brent) Hillard, Beth Lewis, Mike Walker, John Lewis, and Jeff Kempton; nine great grandchildren Tyler, Andy, Gavin, Clay, Carson, Makayla, Alex, Ella, and Mason; sister Janet Earich of Athens, Ohio, brother-in-law Ken (Gwen) Kempton and other relatives and friends. Regina and Wilbur were faithful members of Central Christian in Kettering for many years. They enjoyed square dancing, winters at Lake Okeechobee, Florida, and their grandchildren's sports activities, whatever and wherever they were. Regina was a genuinely good-hearted, sweet person, and a devoted mother/grandmother most dearly loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd, Kettering, OH with Pastor Liz DeWeese officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 14, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Central Christian Church.
