
BOTSFORD, Richard A. “Dick” of Dayton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Marijane (nee Carr) Botsford and the late Jean (nee Jureller) Botsford, loving father of John (Linda) Botsford of Cincinnati, Ohio, cherished grandfather of Lindsay Botsford (John Velasquez, Jr.) and Whitney (Ryan) Morgan of Houston, Texas and Mallory (Nicholas) Bridle of San Francisco, California, dear brother of Robert (Betty) Botsford of Arcade, New York and Lois (Lee) Williams of Scottsdale, Arizona, dear stepdaughters Karlyn Stanley (William Porter) of Washington, D.C. and Nina (Michael) Marshall. After graduating from high school in Springville, New York, Dick enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country on the aircraft carrier the USS Block Island. Upon his return he earned a degree in Engineering from Syracuse University. Dick was retired from General Motors Corporation where he worked as the Director of Methods Engineering and Work Standards. He then embarked on a second career with Shopsmith in Dayton from which he was also retired. Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, Ohio, from 4:00 pm until time of service at 5:00 pm.
