BREWER, Richard “Rick” Dean, 61 of Dayton, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 8, 2023. Rick was born August 4, 1961 in Dayton to the late Wallace “Wally” Brewer and Mary (Swartz) Adams who survives him.
In addition to his mother, Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 10 years, Aimee (Hopkins) Brewer, his children Candice (Adrian) Hawk, Kasey (Eugene) Bailey, Jakob (Brianna) Payne, Cory Brewer, Jordyn (Rusty Plemmons) Payne, Jaden (fiancé Miguelin Santana) Payne; grandchildren Waylon, Uriah, Sophia, Savannah, Gianna and Amari. Also surviving are his brothers Christopher (Janet) Brewer, Wesley (Mary) Brewer, sisters, Lory Brewer, LaVonda Brewer, Carla Brewer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved pet dogs, Koda, Kobe, Mia, Milo, Dolly, Charlie and grand-dog Axel.
Rick was a proud US Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed building things, the outdoors, gardening and the beach. He had owned Townsend Auto Center in Middletown and South Dayton Remodeling. Rick had achieved the honor of Top Salesman at Bob Townsend Ford in Cincinnati. He was very giving and generous with his talents and time. When he was 12, he organized a car wash for the cancer society. During the blizzard of ’78, he got on his CB radio and opened his home to people affected by the blizzard. When his mom woke up early the next morning, their home had people sleeping in beds he had set up and he was cooking breakfast. Rick was very entrepreneurial, giving and compassionate. He would and did help anyone who needed help. Rick loved his wife, mom, children, grandchildren, siblings and his dogs.
There will be a visitation, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton – Xenia Road, Beavercreek starting at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kevin Hall presiding. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
