Richard M. Ryan, aged 88, departed this life on December 17th, 2018 at Miami Valley South in Centerville, OH, after a prolonged illness. Besides his parents, Stanley and Adelaide Ryan of Macon, OH, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ryan of Dayton, OH; brother, Charles Ryan of OR and two very special friends, Richard Dunn and James Hodge. He is survived by his wife, Edna Ryan of Dayton; three sons, Terry (Lisa) Ryan of Norfolk, VA, Jerry Ryan of Springfield, OH and Donald (Dayna) Sheehan of Moraine, OH; grandsons, Nathan Ryan of OR and Jonathon Sheehan of Dayton, OH and a sister, Judy (Richard) Duszynski of Denver, CO. Richard retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was co-owner of several nightclubs in the Dayton area. He enjoyed visiting his friends and family, fishing and traveling. He will be well remembered by his up-beat nature and friendliness. A private service will be determined at a future date. Cremation entrusted to Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel.
