TOBIN, Richard Adrian (Rusty), age 82 of Miamisburg, departed this life May 11, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Rusty was a 1953 graduate of Stivers High School. He was employed by NCR, Mound Laboratories, and later graduated from the Miami Township Police Academy. He volunteered for his community by joining the Stadium Patrol (Auxiliary Police of Miamisburg) and by serving as a Miamisburg Public Service Officer. On October 15, 1996 he was recognized for 20 years of service for the Miamisburg Police Department. When living in Kettering, Rusty was on the 1st committee for the Holiday at Home Parade. In Centerville, he was also very involved with Cub Scouts, Webelo’s and Boy Scouts. Music, he loved and sang his way into the church choir, Gospel Quartet, a member of the Dayton Chapter of SPEBSQUSA and a Barbershop Quartet. He was preceded in death by his parents Adrian L. and Myrtle A. (Downey) Tobin. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years; Donna (Rupp) with their 4 children Richard (Rick) A. Tobin II, Roni (Tobin) Cummings (Kevin), Randy Tobin and Rex Tobin. He has 8 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home at 5471 Far Hills Ave., Tuesday May 15 from 4-7. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 16 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Miamisburg Police Officer’s Auxiliary, The American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to

" Rusty" being my fiance's father "Rick" was an wonderful man !!! I only had the opportunity to meet him for an week December 2014 but what a lovely week it was !!! I will always remember his warm smile & faboulous laugh !!!
He loved "Donna" his high school sweetheart like none other & his loving family as well !!! We enjoyed many phone conversations over the years & his all-time favorite emails !!! He will be surely missed however our loss is "Heaven's Gain" !!! God bless you all @ this difficult time!!!
