Marcia and Family,
 I just heard of Ricky's passing..I want to send my heart felt sympathy to all of the family. I'm Ricky's cousin ( his dad and mine were brothers. L.B. (Lewis) Starritt). Have not seen him or spoken to him in many years. Losted contact.. So sorry to hear.. Debi Starritt Crouchman 903-482-5751. Aunt Lois and Rita also have my # spoke to her about six months ago.. So sorry..

He always made me laugh. I remember he was driving Marrita & I home from Butler and he wanted to embarrass us so when we stopped at the stoplight he took his teeth out and grinned at the people in the car next to us. lol He will not be forgotten.

Marsha, and family,  I was sad to read of the passing of Ricky.  You will be in my prayers.

To Darrell and the family of Rick,
I am saddened by your loss. Rick had an outgoing personality that most everyone liked , including me.  Rick will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Rick was a great brother-in-law. He truly was one of a kind guy. Always there to help in time of need. I don't know what mom and dad would have done with out him. Rick and I always picked on each other and called each other names, that was just our way I think of dealing with life.  He could really surprise Marcia with some of the things we said. I can still hear Marcia saying "oh gosh Rick". He will be truly missed by all of us. We love you.You will be in our hearts forever and we will always remember your great smile.

Rick…growing up you was always the little runt messing with my comic books and baseball cards. I might have called you some unkind names but I still always loved you. I know I was not really as good of a brother to you that I should have been.  We drifted apart as we got older you with your family in Dayton and me and mine in Florida, Texas and now Georgia. I kept thinking that we would get closer in our old age. I should have acted sooner. It is good to see the comments from your friends to learn what kind of man you really were. Ricky & I were born 7 days a part in the same town in TN. We were friends, especially running up the creek that ran by his house. Down toward Travis, up through Greene Co. Always a smiling face, easy to get along with, decent person. I haven't seen since I left home, but seems Ricky did well family wise, children... My regard to His Family & memory of those days. I am going to miss you Uncle Rick so much! You always put others before yourself and were always there to help in anyway you could! Any family would be truly blessed to have you in their lives! Your leaving behind many memories! I will always think of you when I make my taco casserole. You always made me feel so good about it when I made it. You always helped me at my neighborhood Halloween event and grilled hot dogs for the kids with  dad. It was always a fun time. There's just so many more memories! My warmest heartfelt blessings goes to aunt Marcia, cousins Paulette and Marrita and their families! Words simply cannot express my deepest sympathy. I'm so so sorry! I always looked forward to having Rick come into our shop. He always came in cracking jokes, laughing and teasing anyone and everyone and he always got the job done. Great man and a wonderful family. God Bless!

Rick is a man who will be truly missed by many.  He was a lot of fun to be around.  He could be the biggest joker and then be one of the most serious and best people to talk to you could ever meet.

Although it has been a few years since I have seen Rick,the memories of his hearty laugh and great smile make it seem like it was only yesterday. Marcia and Rick took me into their home and made me feel like family. I will never forget that. Marcia, my love and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time. My heart aches knowing such a great guy has gone from this world way too soon.

Dad I don't know what we are going to do without you. I am trying to make you proud by staying strong for Mom and Marrita, but truth is I am crumbling inside. I miss you sooo much! I just can't believe that I am never going to get to see your smile again or hear your sarcastic voice. You made life so interesting and fun. God must have really needed some “mussel” in heaven to have taken you away from us so soon. I want you to sit back and take it easy and don't worry about us, we will all be reunited again someday. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and for all of things that you have taught me. I love you so very much and miss you more than words can say.

I was lucky enough to have known Rick for 44 years and he always had a smile on his face! Remember our younger years getting together at each others home to play cards and our kids playing together. Rick will live on in your heart. My you find peace in knowing he is on a great journey now. My heart goes out to you and the family.

Rick and Marsha were my grandmother's neighbors for many years since as long as I can remember, she spoke highly of both of them frequently, as a child I only got to spend the weekends with my grandparents but almost every memory I have at her house either involved Rick or Marsha and both Marrita, and Paulette in some way or another, so there are no words to express the loss of a great man like Rick always willing to help anyone at any time even if it meant climbing in a basement window that was the size of a small shoe box when granny locked herself out of the house at 10 o'clock at night, but he made sure she was in and safe and that meant a-lot, my thought and prayers go out to the family and friends of Rick for God has taken another angel home

I will miss your smile you always had for me and all the hugs and talks we had. I love you like a dad.

I never saw Rick when he wasn't smiling and laughing. He was a great guy who truly loved his family. He was one of my dad's favorite nephews. Dad always talked about how much he liked "Big Rick."

Words cannot begin to express the grief we're all feeling right now. No holidays, birthdays or family dinners will ever be the same. I miss you so much that sometimes I feel I can't bear the grief one moment longer. He was the best father-in-law a guy could have. I could not have been prouder to have him as my father-in-law. When my own dad passed....Rick stepped up and was right there for me. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed!!!!  Earth may have lost a wonderful father, husband, papaw, father-in-law and uncle....but Heaven truly gained an awesome man. Talk about a guy who is gonna be a heck of a guardian angel!!!! Marrita, Zack and I were and are truly blessed to have this man in our lives!!! We love you Rick!!! from your son-in law
