Rita Pilutti

Pilutti, Rita M., 88 of Beavercreek, OH passed away December 20, 2016 at Life Center of Florissant in St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Albert; parents Jerome and Erminia Burelli. She is survived by her son Thomas (Deb) Pilutti; daughter, Janine (Thomas) Jedding; grandchildren, Kyle & Jack Pilutti and Andrew, Thomas, Daniel & Nicole Jedding; brothers, Dino (Helen) Burelli and Robert (Peggy) Burelli.

Rita was born November 7, 1928. She and brother Dino emigrated from the Friuli region of Italy to the United States in 1935. Rita was very proud of her Italian heritage.The Burelli family, with a new sibling, Robert, grew up in Vanport, Pennsylvania. She worked as a secretary at Armstrong Steel after attending high school in Beaver Falls. She and Albert were married October 4,1958. Over the span of their marriage, they raised two children, Tom and Jan, residing in Georgia, Indiana and finally in Dayton, Ohio. Rita was a great wife, ever-watchful mom, and doting nonna. She was active in St. Helen’s Church, where she was known at one time for her exploits running the doll booth. Rita volunteered at local thrift shops and bowled with a close set of friends. Holidays were a special time where all would gather as a family to eat, share stories and her jigsaw puzzle skills were without parallel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held December 28, 2016 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends December 27, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432.
