

Robert Graham Ferguson Jr, 85, of Xenia, passed away Saturday evening, March 18, 2023, surrounded by his family, at Harmony Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 18, 1937, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of Robert G. Ferguson Sr and Lora M Alderman Ferguson.
He was a member of Xenia United Presbyterian Church, former Vice President of Marketing for Universal Energy Systems, and former employee of Systems Research Laboratories in Beavercreek.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Jean (Moore) Ferguson, son, and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim Ferguson, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and LaDonna Ferguson, and daughter and son-in-law, Terri Lynn and Donald Charles, seven grandchildren, Ashley (Tom Latta) Charles, Austin (Whitney) Ferguson, Christopher (Laura) Ferguson, Heather (Kenny) Womacks, Alex (Amy) Ferguson, Courtney (Sam) Ashworth, Brittany (Rick) Lamb, and sixteen great-grandchildren, Cameron Ferguson, Jackson Womacks, Lucas Ferguson, Aiden Ferguson, Wyatt Womacks, Annie Ashworth, Ellie Ferguson, Henry Ferguson, Addie Ferguson, Everly Ferguson, Jack Ferguson, Knox Ashworth, Rhett Womacks, Emmie Ferguson, Emily Lamb, Sammie Ashworth and a sister, Patricia Hunt, Morning View, Ky, a brother-in-law, Terry (Barbara) Moore, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert (Bob) was an avid music lover and could play almost any instrument he picked up. He loved bluegrass music and mastered the banjo, which he played in several music groups over the years. Besides performing at many venues, his groups made several albums. Bob loved to teach banjo and proudly got many other musicians started. His love of music was second only to his love of his family. He loved to be surrounded by his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 10-12 am at Xenia United Presbyterian Church, 343 West Ankeney Mill Road, Xenia. Services will follow immediately afterward in the same location with Rev Mike Wakeland officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 North Valley Road, Xenia.
