He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie; wife, Clarene; daughters, Peggy and Molly; and brothers, Dick and Ed. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his younger brother, Bill; sons, Bob (Andrea) and Tom (Chris); extended family, Amy (Jeff) Wonser, Marcia (Kenny) Eagle, and Gail (A.B.) Jennings; grandchildren, Kara (Sean), Gretchen (Brian), Bethany, and Daniel (Susan); and 7 great grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “SuperGramps”. Bob served as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Ordinance Corp for the period 1944-1946 serving in Aberdeen, Maryland and Italy. Until the end, Bob loved meeting his friends for breakfast over a cup of coffee to discuss the latest issues of the day. He could always be counted on to have a joke or two to tell. He looked for any excuse to take family members out to dinner for birthday celebrations or as his way of saying thanks for any number of small favors one may have done for him. The family would like to thank the staff at Miami Valley Hospital for his excellent care.
