My dear friend I miss not seeing you and talking about war stories from Vietnam and life in general. Maxie and I will miss your everlasting friendship. The entire Ohio Patriot Guard will miss you, I really do not think you relized how much esteem you are held in. I remember when we would see eachother I would say; "Ole Wise One" can you answer a question for me. We are prepairing for your final ride and it will be sad, but great being with you on that ride.
Rest in Peace

Bob was a one of a kind. I was privileged to get to know him when we worked for BC Schools Transportation Dept. He drove the bus that parked next to mine and always cleaned my windshield off before I could get out there. He was the type of person who would help before being asked. Later he came to work for my husband and I as a Driving Instructor. He touched the lives of many young people as they worked to get their driver's license. He left many great impressions on a lot of lives and shared a wealth of knowledge with them. I feel blessed to have known and worked with such a man. Bob, you will be dearly missed. God Bless You!

Bob was truly one of a kind. I have had the honor of riding with Bob in the Patriot Guard since 2007. He was a true patriot and most of all so kind and considerate to everyone. He will truly be missed on the flag line. There just aren't words to describe the loss to our organization. We would always give Bob grief about his age ("Bob, what was it like crossing the Delaware with Gen. Washington?" "Bob, tell us about Gettysburg".) In our hearts though, we all wanted to be like Bob, always giving to others. Miss you, brother.

It seemed that everywhere I went, if it involved the Dayton VA, the National Cemetery or Veterans, Bob was always there on his bike. Grateful that I knew him. Condolences to his family and friends and the Ohio Patriot Guard Riders.
