Bob Slusser, of Beavercreek Ohio passed away on his 68th birthday, Monday November 17th, 2025 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 17th, 1957 to the late Eileen Brown and Gerald Slusser.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Annette Littman Slusser, his son Rob Slusser (Lillian Hunt), his daughter, Tari Slusser Holmes (Adam Holmes), grandchildren Colten Holmes, Krista Curtis, Nolan Holmes and Grace Boyd. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Lubeach (Ron Lubeach) and Jerri Stacy (Paul Stacy), brothers-in-law, David Littman (Karen), Marc Littman, sisters-in-law Michelle Merchant (Vivian), Denise Allen (Ronald), and Renee Meadows (Don), two step brothers, two step sisters, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and Karl Brown and Gerald Slusser, his grandparents Grace and Ray Robinson and his cherished dog, Reesee.
A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Bob was known for his sense of humor, animated storytelling and straight forward nature. He spoke his truth without sugar coating how he felt and was the same “Bob” in the company of executives or friends at the racetrack.
He was the youngest of three children and grew up with a hunger to learn new things, working at Ron’s Sohio as a teenager and absorbing all he could about cars. He carried that knowledge into a lifelong love affair with cars, racing and restoration.
Bob could fix anything and had a beautiful vision for building and remodeling and a passion for breathing new life into old things through careful and meticulous restoration. This included his vintage home, cars, arcade games, Kitchen-aid mixers and 8-track tape players among other things.
He retired in 2020 after an impressive 43-year career in the HVAC industry. Chances are if you’ve been to a home, office building, church or store in the Miami Valley, Bob had a hand in the HVAC design or install. He worked his way up the ladder at Airtron Heating and Air Conditioning from installer, to estimator, to salesman (residential then commercial), to management. He employed his design and people skills to establish close relationships with builders and other tradesmen who ultimately became friends.
He finally got the opportunity to design and build a beautiful home in Tennessee that served as a refuge and happy place for his family near our beloved Dale Hollow Lake. He left a legacy that will continue to bring joy to future generations
His big personality and huge heart provided so many precious memories for his friends and family to carry with them. He was able to celebrate his birthday with his mom in heaven this year and was restored by his redeemer from the debilitating cancer that he fought so bravely.
Family to receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:30am.
Bob will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, located at 27 South Fairfield Road, Beavercreek.
