Rodney A Haas

HAAS, Rodney A. age 73 of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was a devoted and loving family man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester George and Emma Elizabeth Haas and sister, Davene Schimmel. Rodney is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cleta Haas; daughters, Vicki (Robert) Wissel of Centerville and Lisa (David) Eavarone of Boston, MA; granddaughters Ashley and Sarah, grandson Andrew (to be born in August); sisters Beverly (Paul) Lucas of Dayton, Marcia (Gerald) Boyd of Sidney, Ohio; special friend, Steve Lucas of Spring Valley. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, retired from H.J. Osterfeld with over 36 years of service; he was an active member of the East Dayton Baptist Church serving as a trustee and performing many tasks at the church. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #162. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the East Dayton Baptist Church,1380 Spaulding Rd. Rev. Brian Kershaw officiating. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home- Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 5-8 PM Wednesday and at the church from 10-11 AM Thursday.
