I worked with Ron over the years and studied under him during my Masters Degree at WSU. We worked to build an radio frequency and antenna design lab at WSU using prototyping equipment the late Dr. Bill Eppers and I had put together 15 years earlier, Ron always emphasized the applied as theoretical side of engineering.  Like Bill, Ron gave the older students like myself, who had worked our way through the career paths of technician to engineer, a chance unlike other professors.  As time passes the masters  of electromagnetic and radio frequency engineering are disappearing, Ron was truly a master of the "Black Art"  of both engineering fields.

I'm saddened to hear about Ron's passing. I attended Eastern Kentucky University with him.

I was stunned by the news of Ron's sudden passing.  I had just spoken with him the day before during one of our weekly phone discussions about our ongoing research collaboration.  Ron was a gifted engineer, an outstanding scientist, a man of great integrity and humility, and a true friend.  It was a privilege to have known him.

I met Ron in 2008 when he taught an electro-magnetics class I took during grad school. I was already close to 50, and we weren't that far apart in age, and we became really good friends. Since that time we stayed in close touch regularly, even during the years I lived out of state. In the recent months since I moved back to Ohio, we spoke frequently and were even in the preliminary stages of a possible new project, which was fun for us both. I just hope that our friendship was as much of a blessing to him as it was to me. I will miss him dearly. A precious soul.

I am so very saddened to hear of Ron's passing.  I only recently had lunch with Ron and often ran into him on the bike path in Beavercreek this summer.  I owe Ron so very much for his selfless mentoring and his genuine friendship.   He was always looking out for his friends.  He was the real thing to me.  I miss him now and will forever.  I am very sorry to hear this and will pray for Ron and his family.

Ron was an exceptional person...brilliant engineer, stalwart friend and dedicated to the security of our great Nation.  I will miss the many discusssions about science and engineering and how it applied to caring for wounded US service members.  His legacy is his innovative work and his wonderful family.

I knew Ron for over 20 years.  He was my teacher, my mentor and my good friend.  He was a strong positive influence in both my professional and personal life.  I am lucky to have known him, and I will miss him very much.
