I was the first female to take automotive at Patterson Coop, In the class of ‘81. Mr Schlater was a wonderful and patient teacher. Later in life, I saw him at the Vfw in Kettering. He had the same happy, wonderful demeanor, and always was smiling. He helped shape me early in life, and taught me that learning could be fun. Heaven gained a wonderful man.
