Rosemary Barr

August 22, 1920June 4, 2013

Rosemary Wilson Barr, our beloved mother, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease surrounded by her loving family. Mother was born August 22, 1920 to Martha and Claude Wilson. She met and married Ellis Barr on November 26, 1938 and was blessed with six sons. She was a member of Hawker United Church of Christ in Beavercreek. She was also a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 224 in Miamisburg, Ohio; Belmont Order of Eastern Star Chapter 555 in Kettering, Ohio; Hithergreen Seniors Inc. in Centerville, Ohio and the Miamisburg Senior Citizen Center in Miamisburg, Ohio. She approached life and death forever giving her best with great dignity, morality and courage. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed…especially her ‘beautiful smile’. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Ellis Barr; her son, Curtis; her mother and father, Martha (Maples) and Claude Wilson Sr.; her five brothers, Frank, John, James, Curtis and Claude Jr.; her two sisters, Marjorie (Betty) Armstrong and Phyllis Tuzzolino. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five sons, Ronald and wife Melissa of Kettering; James and wife Cindy of Huber Heights; Thomas and wife Sandy of Satsuma, Florida; Clark and wife Diana of Spring Valley; and Jerry and wife Jacqueline of South Lyon, Michigan; one brother, Harry Wilson of Ovida, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 8, 2013 followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at the Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Pastor Brooks Heck officiating. Internment will be at Woodland Cemetery. The family expresses unyielding gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Dayton who provided comforting serenity to Rosemary and her family. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420 in Rosemary’s memory.

I picture Grandpa and Grandma walking down the path to Heaven. Grandpa has his arm around Grandma's shoulder and he is saying "You done good Mother, you done real good."

To Everyone,

I'm so sorry that I can't be there with you all. I would love to see you. I am so sad and will miss Grandma very much, but I am happy that she will be with Grandpa and Dad. She was so kind, patient, and witty. She will always be much loved. Thank you Ronnie and Melissa for taking such good care of her. Hugs to Everyone!
