

CARR, Roy, age 87 of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie Carr and parents, Easom Olbert and Eva Jane Minton. He is survived by his sons and daughters in-law, James Allen (Ethel) Carr, Greg (Beverley) Carr; daughter and son in-law, Rachel and David Garrett; grandchildren, Josh, Tara, Shelby, Michael, Elizabeth and great-grandchildren, Caden and Colton. Roy served in The United States Army and retired from General Motors. Roy was honored to be the Grand Marshal of the Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival for the past few years and was well known for his love of giving candy. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Dayton Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 30.
