Ruby D. Pruitt

PRUITT, Ruby D. age 81 of Riverside passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clyde Pruitt; parents, John and Lavada Monday; son, Danny Pruitt; daughter, Debra Clevenger; sisters, Hellen Monday and Estie Schooler; and brothers, Arthur and Garfield Monday. Ruby is survived by her grandchildren, Sharayah (Alan) Arnold, and Tiffany (Nathan) Williams; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Eliyah, and Isaiah Arnold; son-in-law, Jeff Clevenger; sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Joyce King, Ellen Smith, and Pearlie Adams; and brother, J.B. Monday; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was a longtime member of Spaulding Road Church of God. Ruby enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, yard sales, and flea markets. She loved feeding peanuts to the squirrels and birds. Ruby enjoyed listening to gospel music, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. Ruby loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday February 19, 2018 from 12-1 PM at Spaulding Road Church of God, 1658 Spaulding Road, Dayton. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the church with Pastor Larry Thomas officiating, burial will follow the service in Dayton Memorial Park.
