SMITH, Ruby, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Smith. She is survived by her children, Dan Smith, Dianne Smith (Edward Waselewski), Meredith (Rita) Smith; and grandchildren, Sarah and Louis Smith; surviving sisters, Katie (Sam) McGahan and Shirley (Bill) Hagen; and surviving brother, Bruce (Louise) Edwards. Ruby belonged to Rike’s Club and traveled with them and was also a member of Belmont United Methodist Church since 1961. She was a very mellow person and made everyone feel welcome in her home. Ruby also enjoyed gardening and always grew beautiful roses. A funeral service will be held at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave at Fauver Ave. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1pm with Rev. Randy Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
