Russell H. Sarver, Jr. passed away January 4, 2023. Born April 12, 1931 in Troy, Ohio, he grew up in Dayton and graduated from Stivers HS. He earned a B.S. in aeronautical engineering from U. of Cincinnati and an M.S. at the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB. He retired in 1993 after 38 years in the defense industry and civil service. Russ was an avid photographer throughout his life and serious genealogist in his later years. He also loved getting his favorite glazed donuts from Bill’s. He is survived by Claudette, his beloved wife of 39 years. Also survived by five children: Lynn Carol Anderson (Kurt), Denise Jewell (Chuck), Kimberly Sarver, Matthew Sarver and Sally Sarver; and three stepchildren: Leslie Cash Ray (Jeff), Deborah Cash (Bob) and Ken Cash (Rosemary.) He was predeceased by three grandchildren and is survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Service January 20 at 11 a.m., Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel.
